Work bulletin on conservation of steppe ecosystems and sustainable use of steppes

Originally the Steppe Bulletin was established by the NGO “Siberian Environmental Center” (Novosibirsk), NGO “Biodiversity Conservation Center” (Moscow) and Middle-Volga Regional Branch of Ecological Academy (Tolyatti) and registered in the State Comittee on Press of Russia (registration number PI № 77-13021, June 28, 2002).

Since 2015 the founders of the Steppe Bulletin are Sibecocenter Co Ltd (Novosibirsk) and NGO “Biodiversity Conservation Center” (Moscow) (registration number PI № 77-63000, September 4, 2015).

Steppe Bulletin is a non-for-profit information and analitical bulletin, only the Russian-language periodical devoted to problems of conservation, restoration and sustainable use of steppes.

The bulletin is publishing since 1998. The circulation of last issues is 1500-2000. The number of our readers is constantly increasing and now there are about 1450 addresses of persons and organizations who receive the bulletin. The geography of publications and distribution embrace all countries of former USSR where the steppes are situated – mainly Russia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine, less 6 other new independent countries and Mongolia. Editorial board includes 16 known scientists and conservationists represented 5 countries (Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Mongolia).

Steppe Bulletin is published in “paper” version 2-3 times in a year, all issues are available online:

The bulletin is distributed free of charge among conservational non-profit organizations, scientific and planning organizations and specialists working on problems of steppes conservation and sustainable use of steppes and also among central and territorial forms of government in the sphere of wild-life conservation, management of agriculture and land resources in steppe zone of Russian Federation, Republic of Kazakhstan, Ukraine and some other countries.
