“Ubsunurskaya Kotlovina” becomes the transboundary biosphere reserve

Барашковой The direction of chairman of Russian government about signing of an agreement between Russian and Mongolian governments on creation of transboundary biosphere reserve “Ubsunurskaya Kotlovina” got out on April 21, 2011.

The reserve will be created for the conservation of unique nature ecosystems of Ubsu-Nuur lake depression which are included in the UNESCO World Natural Heritage, development of ecotourism and environmental education, assistance in bilateral collaboration in wildlife conservation.
