International Conference on Climate Change in Arid and Semi-Arid Region

International Conference on Climate Change in Arid and Semi-Arid Region will be held in Ulaan-Baatar on September 19-21, 2013.

The main theme of this International Conference is climate change in arid and semi-arid region. We aimed to conduct an international comparison and verify our research results and perform an interdisciplinary comparison based on the research results obtained over recent years. The conference will focus on the following topics for research issues of climate change and environmental systems:

  1. Climate change: Global warming, desertification, deforestation
  2. Atmospheric science: Solar radiation, atmospheric optical properties
  3. Hydrology and Cryosphere: Groundwater, evapotranspiration, snow, glacier, permanent snow and permafrost
  4. Environmental science: Land cover change, air, soil, water pollutions, soil erosion
  5. Green development: Renewable energy, solar, wind and water energy resources
  6. Disasters and hazards: drought, dust, snow storm, forest and steppe fires, earthquake, flood

Registration

Detailed registration information will be sent to the authors of accepted abstracts. Interested parties who would like to attend the symposium without presenting should submit the above information excluding paper title and abstract, and include a brief note stating their intent to attend.

Notification of acceptance: June 30, 2013  (September 1, 2013)
Submission of full paper: August 15, 2013 (September 1, 2013)
Last date of registration for speakers: September 5, 2013
(All speakers must make payment by September 1, 2013 in order to have their accepted papers included in the proceedings and scheduled for presentation.)

Authors are invited to submit abstracts to the Secretariat via email at icccasr2013@must.edu.mn

by May 31, 2013. Submissions must include the following contents:

- Author name
- Prefix
- Position
- Affiliated organization
- Email address
- Paper title
- Abstract: Clearly state the purpose and major results of the work within 200 words

Notification of acceptance: September 1, 2013
