Saiga Resource Center

Saiga Resource CenterThe Saiga Resource Centre website was conceived of as a means of charting progress towards the fulfilment of the CMS MoU on saiga conservation. It was designed and implemented by the Saiga Conservation Alliance and the Association for the Conservation of Biodiversity in Kazakhstan, under contract from the CMS.

The SRC acts as a portal and forum for those interested and involved in saiga conservation. With input from range states themselves and professionals in the field, as well as the general public, we aim to make the SRC into a comprehensive and accurate online service to support saiga conservation.

To make telling others about our great new site easier we’ve made some simple pdf files that you can forward on to everyone you think should know about the SRC and be involved in the online community we are building there. This pdf briefly introduces each section of the SRC and explains its purpose; it also advises readers on how they can contribute to that section of the site.

An introduction to the Saiga Resource Centre (English) (PDF 5,4 Mb)
An introduction to the Saiga Reosurce Centre (Russian) (PDF 5,7 Mb)

Please share these documents widely. We want as many people as possible to know about the Saiga Resource Centre and engage with its other users through the website.

We’re very greatful to Olya Esipova for the Russian translation of the pdf and will be sending Kazakh and Chinese translations shortly.

We’re always looking for volunteers to help translate this type of documents, especially into Mongolian and Uzbek. If you know of anyone who might be interested in some translation experience, perhaps as an opportunity to practice their English then please let us know.
