Schoolchildren visited the Loktevsky wildlife refuge in Altaisky Krai

Алтайский край, май 2013The schoolchildren of Gornyak town, Altaisky Krai of Russia, have visited the Loktevsky wildlife refuge (or zakaznik) early May this year. They saw a lot of interesting things and found rare plant species. Among them was Altai tulip.

The schoolchildren and teachers of the Ecological Club of the school number 2 of the Gornyak patronize the refuge. Last year they realized the project “Reserve secrets of Loktevsky zakaznik”, supported by the regional administration.

Loktevsky zakaznik is made NGO “Siberian Environmental Center” and regional administration to protect steppe ecosystems of the Altai foothills in 2003. It celebrated 10 years this year.
